My Work Has Always Been Centered on People,

Purpose, and Possibility.

Long before I founded Harper Media Publishing, I was serving people. For more than 40 years, ministry and leadership have been part of my life. I have served as an ordained pastor, teacher, speaker, ministry leader, and founder of BuildHer Kingdom Women, a faith-centered community created to strengthen and equip women.

Those years taught me that leadership begins with listening. It requires patience, discernment, honesty, and a willingness to remain present while someone finds her way forward. I know what it feels like to begin again, find your voice, and trust God when the next step is unclear.

I bring those lessons into every author relationship. I listen for what you are trying to say, even when you have not found the right words. I understand the courage required to share your story and place your name on your work. I also know that a meaningful message needs structure, direction, and accountability.

As a leader, coach, and author, I guide you with honesty and compassion. I respect your voice, recognize the value of your experience, and walk with you as your message takes shape on the page.

THE CHAPTER THAT CHANGED ME

My Writing Journey Began in a Season I Never Expected.

My Writing Journey Began in a Season I Never Expected.

When my 23-year marriage ended, I was devastated. I had spent more than two decades as a wife, mother, and co-pastor while also working a full-time job.

Now I had to face the pain of what had ended and figure out who I was outside of the life I had known.

Healing did not happen overnight. I cried. I prayed. I questioned God. I had to rebuild my life, find my voice again, and learn to trust God one day at a time.

While I was trying to put the pieces of my life back together, God gave me one clear instruction:

"Write a book."

THE YES THAT OPENED A NEW CHAPTER

I Did Not Know How. I Said Yes Anyway.

Right in the middle of grieving and rebuilding my life, God instructed me to write my first book, That Was Then, This Is Now: This Broken Vessel Restored.

I had no idea how to write a book, and I did not know anyone who could show me how to publish one. I only knew I had a word from God: Write the book.

But I said yes.

I was ready to write my truth and share what I had gone through. The book chronicles my journey through emotional trauma, healing, and restoration. I wrote about the pain, how I found my way back, and how I began rebuilding my life without carrying the bondage and scars of what had happened to me.

Writing took me down an unfamiliar road, but it was the path God assigned me. That book became the beginning of a new assignment.

Serving in a new way meant I was not only writing more of my own stories. I was also guiding other people as they wrote theirs.

My First Book Led Me to the Women Still

Carrying Theirs.

My First Book Led Me to the Women Still

Carrying Theirs.

As I learned the writing and publishing process for myself, I began meeting women who wanted to write but did not know where to start. Some had a personal story to tell. Others had years of knowledge and experience they wanted to put into a book.

I understood how they felt because I had once been in the same place.

I recognized their uncertainty because I had once stood in that same place, carrying a story and not knowing where to begin. I began showing authors how to identify the message within their experiences, organize what they wanted to say, develop their manuscripts, and move through the publishing process with clear direction.

That is how Harper Media Publishing began. I took what I learned from writing and publishing my own books and used it to guide other women. I wanted them to have the direction, support, and knowledge I did not have, so they would not have to figure out every step on their own. I wanted them to know they did not have to do it alone.

I rewrite my story because I decide how the book ends.

I do not begin with publishing tasks. I begin with you.

Before we discuss book covers, formatting, ISBNs, or launch plans,

I take time to understand your message,

your experience, your audience,

and what you want your book to accomplish.

From there, we shape a path for bringing your book forward.

This process respects your voice while strengthening your message.

You remain the author. Your ideas, experiences, and words remain yours.

My role is to listen, ask the right questions, and provide the direction you need to develop your book with clarity and intention.

A Legacy of Writing, Leadership, and Service

I am an Executive Book Mentor, Publishing Strategist, bestselling author, and founder of Harper Media Publishing. For decades, I have guided women in turning their experience, expertise, message, and lived wisdom into books that strengthen their authority and position them for greater opportunities.

A 23-time bestselling and two-time award-winning author, I have curated 16 anthologies, guided approximately 275 contributing authors, and supported the development of more than 200 bestselling authors.

My work extends beyond publishing. I teach women how to clarify their message, organize their expertise, develop their manuscript, understand the publishing process, and position their book as an extension of the work they have already built.

Through my signature Pen to Publish™ mentorship, I work with coaches, consultants, speakers, ministry leaders, professionals, and thought leaders who have years of knowledge and experience, yet have not turned their body of work into a solo book.

My approach centers on clarity, structure, strategy, accountability, and ownership. My goal is not simply to produce another author. It is to guide established women in turning what they know into intellectual property, strengthening their professional authority, expanding their visibility, and creating a published body of work attached to their name.

I am also a recipient of the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
